FairUse Wizard 3D is a program that can rip movies from DVDs. This way, if you have an original DVD movie, you can extract just the video and subtitles (optionally, of course) into a video file that you can then play in your computer player using DivX or XviD codecs. As these files will be much smaller than original DVD movies, you will also be able to store many movies on a single DVD. Not to mention that by playing the copies, you will keep the original DVDs safe.

This program indexes the contents of your DVD, to ensure that each frame is accurately positioned, with audio and video perfectly synchronized. Then, you can choose all the settings that you want to apply to your new project. You can choose the frame you want the capture to start from and the last frame. It is also possible to crop the window, choose the display layout, the subtitles to display (if any) and if you want to display your logo. Then, you will be asked about your desired field combination. You can later choose the codec to use with your project, being able to choose the well-known H264, XviD, or the ffVFW codec suite. You can also choose which audio codec to use, and its settings. After some time, the program will produce a file that can be played in most common video players.
